What is the Market Authority adding to hospitality at High Point Market this fall?
Registration is open for this year’s Fall High Point Market to US and international furniture buyers, exhibitors, industry professionals, press and students.
HIGHLIGHT – The High Point Market Authority (HPMA) announced the return of Hospitality at Market, providing educational and social programs for hospitality design segment, during two days of the fall market, October 23 and 24. An opening reception is scheduled for Saturday evening, October 22.
The Hospitality at Market experience was launched in 2016 to actively attract buyers of hospitality design to the furniture show. It takes place on Sunday and Monday of each fall.
The Fall 2022 Hospitality at Market will feature a new program, Hospitality Experience, with exhibitor-sponsored exhibit hall tours led by ambassadors and industry insiders Christi Barbour, David Cohen, Kelli Ellis and Gary Inman. The free tours are open to all members of the hospitality and design trades and will focus on various industry sectors such as American-made sustainable products and boutique design.
“It’s an outdated perception that High Point is a residential market because interior designers come here to source commercial and hospitality projects,” said Gary Inman, president, Gary Inman Interior Design. “High Point Market is a design destination, period.”
A committee of designers and industry leaders, including Kelli Ellis, Ronati; Gary Inman, Interior Design by Gary Inman; Debbie McKelvey, Bernhardt; Federico Contigiani, RHF Brands; Terri Schell, Overlees Contract Services; Lynda Welte, Blueprints for Green Design; Marco Martinez, COUTURE Garden; Jason Phillips, Phillips Collection; Serena Martin, Phillips Collection; Tom Conley; Tammy Nagem, HPMA; Stephanie Jonas, HPMA; and Dan Davis, HPMA.
“For the October Market, we are excited to bring our popular guided tours and full suite of programs back to the Home and Market Experience,” said Tom Conley, President and CEO of HPMA. “With over 11.5 million square feet of showroom space, there’s something for everyone here.”
