Netflix star Kane Lim’s LA home is a lesson in Scandi-style decorating

The Scandi-style minimalist decorating movement has grown in popularity in recent years and shows no signs of slowing down yet. And if you’re looking for inspiration for your home’s simple yet chic theme, look no further than empire bling the Los Angeles property of star Kane Lim, which he has just put up for sale for $1.8 million.

Kane Lim is a real estate entrepreneur, who rose to prominence on the Netflix show and amassed a solid following on social media.

His understated three-bedroom, two-bathroom home is currently listed with Chrishell Stause of the Oppenheim Group – yes, the same Chrishell of sell sunset Fame. So there’s every chance we might see Lim’s house in a future season of the show!

Entirely remodeled during Lim’s residency, the 1,516-square-foot property is a Scandinavian-Japanese Zen utopia, decorated in neutral tones and simple, yet high-quality materials.

The home’s original mid-century design is still apparent in the home’s simple structure, but there have been a few updates to bring it into the 21st century.

Her sleek kitchen takes center stage on the main floor – with an oversized marble island and dining table, LG matte black smart appliances, luxury Brizo fixtures and boutique backsplash tiles.

Lights hanging from the ceiling also add a touch of industrial interior design to the Los Angeles abode, doing just enough to boost the softer features.

Natural light floods the rest of the house, thanks to ceiling-height windows in the main living space.

The expansive folding doors, which wrap around the kitchen and living space, also create a light and airy downstairs area, accentuated by the light oak wood design and plaster finish.

In the master suite, the peaceful vibe continues, with raised windows, a cream wall color and subtle custom built-in wardrobes.

The minimalist design of the house creates an oasis of calm and serenity, as does the unwavering commitment to using only white or wooden accessories.

Lim’s bathroom is a lesson in minimalist chic, with an all-white color scheme giving off a utilitarian yet ultra-relaxing feel.

The white mini tiles in the bathroom and the black frame around the windows complete the room.

It seems that the design of this house has even extended to the landscaped gardens, which have been perfectly maintained in the style of a Japanese garden, with bonsai and maple trees.

There are also functional seating areas scattered throughout the outdoor space, to help new owners enjoy the spectacular views of Mount Washington.
